The Persecuted Church

"Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering."

Hebrews 13:3

The Branches New Hope Christian Church is committed to supporting those who are suffering for the sake of Jesus Christ. This support includes prayer, finance and visits to and from areas of persecution.

All those who are determined to follow the path of godliness will be persecuted by those who are threatened by the confession of Jesus Christ as Lord and the corresponding life-style.

We consider the confessors and martyrs of our present days in many part of the world to be our pace-setters and role models. We will advocate for them, pray for them and make them known.

We hold a monthly prayer meeting at the Sunday meeting place at 8.45AM on the first Sunday of each month to empathise and pray with the persecuted church.

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me.

Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Matthew 5:10-12
